One thing I’ve mentioned many times on my blog is how much I enjoy Toronto. There’s always somewhere new to discover and whenever I go I always do my best to try at least one new workout, and as many healthy restaurants as possible!
On my last trip, I had to pleasure of trying out a class at Elle Fitness and Social on King St West. I had seen them post a lot of really fun looking workouts on their Instagram account, so decided that I wanted to try them out the next time I was in town.
There are a lot of things I look for in a workout studio, but the thing that gets me before anything else is the staff. When you walk into a place and the staff are smiling, friendly and accommodating, it makes me want to keep coming back. Elle Fitness checked off the friendliness box big time. I had originally signed up for a 5:30 pm class but made it in to Toronto earlier than anticipated. I decided to take a shot and see if I could get into an earlier class. I showed up around 15-20 minutes before the class I wanted to get into started, asked my question to the girl at reception, and held my breath. Well, with a big smile and a few clicks of a mouse the change had been made and I was ready to go!
I made my way into the studio and set myself up for the Arms, Abs and Ass class that I was about to begin. By the time the class was ready to begin, the room was FULL. It was clear I had picked a fan favourite and I was excited to getting started. The class was 55 minutes long and combined toning and cardio. The teacher was fantastic; friendly and full of energy! Despite my burning muscles, I wanted to smile and chuckle along with her. What’s great about this kind of workout is it’s over before you know it, and you’re excited to go back for more!
Overall a great workout experience and I can’t wait to go back and try out more of their classes. They also have 2 great selfie walls that I fully recommend getting a badass workout pic in before you leave the studio.
