4 Simple Travel Tips to Kick Those Nerves to the Curb

If you’re anything like me, packing for any kind of travel becomes a project. As I start packing, I end up getting anxiety that I’m going to forget something I need while I’m away. I’m never going anywhere where I can’t buy something I forget, but I hate leaving something I use daily behind. We all have our product favourites and living out of a hotel can be displacing enough, missing something you use daily can start your trip off on a frustrating foot.

Since I’m on the road so much, I’ve come up with a few tips and travel musts to avoid missing things and to kick the travel anxiety in the butt. They may seem fairly obvious, but following these few simple tricks can really help with the packing process.

  • Lists, lists, lists! I know what you’re thinking, “Duh!” but lists my packing saving grace. I either make a list before I start packing or at the end of my packing to remind myself of all the small details.
  • Buy a few small toiletries to keep in a travel case. That way, you don’t have to remember what to bring each time, it will already be ready to go.
  • Leave flip flops in your luggage. I never travel without them so that I can wear them in my hotel rooms. I don’t love walking around barefoot in the hotel and by leaving flip flops in my bags I never risk forgetting them.
  • Breathe. I always end up forgetting something. It is what it is and I’ll always find a way around it. Don’t let the stress of packing ruin any part of your travel experience.
