Dance Like No One is Watching @Underground Dance centre!

I’ve always loved to dance. It was the first activity I really connected with and wanted to continue doing. I started dancing when I was 10, but stopped around the age of 20 when there weren’t any drop in classes available in Montreal. It got to a point where I still loved it, but I couldn’t commit to being in a year-end show. It’s been years since I’ve been in a real dance class, but I miss it all the time.

That’s why I was beyond excited when my sister started doing drop in dance classes at the Underground Dance Centre in Toronto. I knew that the next time I went to visit, we had to go do one together, so I when I spent 4 days on a self declared “Toronto Health Tour” I signed us up right away! We did the beginner Beyonce class because I wanted to ease into it after so many years of not taking any classes. I’m happy to report we were able to keep up, we spent the whole time dancing, laughing and having the best time. These are my favourite kind of workouts, because you don’t even realize that you’re doing one!

The studio is located in downtown Toronto and offers tons of class and level options, from beginner through advanced. What I liked best about the studio, is that it was beyond unpretentious. Everyone is smiling and happy to help you out. You’re never made to feel like you’re not a “real dancer”, which can sometimes be the vibe in these places. The teacher was full of life and energy, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

I fully recommend if you have a love of dance, or have ever wanted to give it a try, to sign up for one of their classes. You won’t regret it!
